Theatre Royal Windsor has revealed the all-star celebrity line-up for its pantomime this year including a Britain’s Got Talent winner, a Blue Peter presenter and a former Government minister turned Strictly star!

Taking to the stage in CINDERELLA this Christmas will be the Right Honourable Ann Widdecombe, who will star as the Fairy Godmother alongside former Blue Peter presenter and Miss Northern Ireland Zoe Salmon, who will play the title role.

In what is set to be the theatre’s biggest and best panto yet, singer Jai McDowall, who was crowned the winner of Britain’s Got Talent in 2011 will star as Prince Charming, with Dreamboats and Miniskirts’ leading man Alex Beaumont as his best friend Dandini.

Returning to the Theatre Royal are Windsor’s panto favourites Basil Brush as Baron Hardup and comic Kevin Cruise as the lovable Buttons. Regular panto Dame Steven Blakeley will be joined by Emmerdale’s Shaun Prendergast – described by the Daily Telegraph as “the finest, funniest pantomime Dame” – playing the Ugly Step-Sisters, in what promises to be another fun-filled show for all the family.

Cinderella is a classic fairytale and Windsor’s pantomime version of the spellbinding story will entertain audiences of all ages. The fun-filled traditional show promises to be packed with all the elements that make a Windsor pantomime so memorable such as an all-singing, all-dancing cast, live music and comedy fun as well as stunning costumes and lavish sets. This year, magic sensation Neil Henry will be designing the Fairy Godmothers’ spells to make the show the most magical Christmas treat ever. And of course, it wouldn’t be a pantomime without plenty of audience participation.
