ABOUT THE SHOW

One of the greatest musicals of all time returns to the stage in a magnificent new production to enchant the young and the young at heart. This wonderfully lavish new staging tells the true story of the world-famous von Trapp singing family, from their romantic beginnings and search for happiness, to their thrilling escape to freedom at the start of WWll.

LUCY O’BYRNE, fresh from her success on BBC One’s The Voice, plays the role of Maria. She became the competition’s runner up in 2015, impressing the nation and chart topper will.i.am with her stunning vocal range. Award winning TV and stage leading-man ANDREW LANCEL plays the dashing Captain von Trapp. Lancel, who is best known to TV audiences for his portrayal of villainous businessman Frank Foster in Coronation Street and for the role of DI Neil Manson in The Bill, drew critical acclaim in the title role of the West End production Epstein – The Man Who Made the Beatles.

The unforgettable score features some of the most memorable songs ever performed on screen and stage, including Edelweiss, My Favorite Things, Do-Re-Mi, Climb Ev’ry Mountain, So Long farewell, and of course, The Sound of Music.
